Buddy Ballard has taught at RCCA for four years, and greatly enjoys teaching history, literature and the Bible. He works to pass his love of reading to all of his students. He and his wife of 39 years, Karen, have five children and four grandchildren. He was a career officer in the United States Army for 32 years, and has earned the following degrees: B.A., Political Science, University of Alabama; M.S., Logistics Management, Florida Institute of Technology, and M.A., National Resource Strategy, Industrial College of the Armed Forces.

Dr. Joshua D. Owen | Greek Teacher
Joshua Owen joined the faculty of RCCA in the fall of 2016 as professor of New Testament Greek. He is a graduate of Southeastern College at Wake Forest (B.A. in Biblical Studies), Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDiv), and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (PhD). Dr. Owen has also served as a pastor at Cross Creek Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Fayetteville since 2011. His major area of academic study is New Testament literature, minoring in the History of Biblical Interpretation in the Pre-Critical Era (Ancient Era to Renaissance/Reformation), and Greek. His other interests include linguistics, theology, Church history, Western thought, and an occasional mystery novel. Dr. Owen confessed Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord as a child and continues to press on to know Christ more fully and to make Him fully known to others. He has the faithful support of his wife, Renae, and their three children, Caleb, Abigail, and Benjamin.
